Robert McMahon is Ohio State University's Ralph D. Mershon Distinguished Professor. He specializes in U.S. foreign relations and has written several books, including The Cold War: A Very Short IntroductionThe Limits of Empire: The United States and Southeast Asia since World War IIThe Cold War on the Periphery: the United States, India, and Pakistan; and Colonialism and the Cold War: The United States and the Struggle for Indonesian Independence. He also edited Major Problems in the History of the Vietnam War: Documents and Essays, which was part of the "Major Problems in American History Series."
